Torrie Wilson
Torrie Anne Wilson (born July 24 1975) is an American former professional wrestler and model. Her most notable achievements are in World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) (previously the World Wrestling Federation. In 1999, Wilson won Miss Galaxy. [1][8] Shortly after, she was accepted by World Championship Wrestling (WCW) which she was with from 1999 to 2000. In 2001, she began appearing in World Wrestling Federation (WWF) television as part of The Invasion (by WCW, of the then- WWF) storyline. Five of her most prominent stories took place in 2002 when she battled with Dawn Marie,[5] and 2003 when she fought with Sable. Wilson was also member of the all-female stable (i.e., a group of characters who are storyline-related) which was referred to as Vince's Devils, which was canceled in 2006.Aside from wrestling prowess, Wilson has been on the cover of several magazines, including FHM and Playboy (which Wilson posed for twice, with one featuring both Wilson and Sable).Wilson was admitted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2019. Wilson's first wrestling experience came when she attended the World Championship Wrestling (WCW) event with her boyfriend in 1999. After the show, she was asked to walk backstage and enter the ring with Scott Steiner. Then, Kevin Nash expressed an desire to do a storyline with her. The first time she appeared was in the episode Nitro 8 on February 8, 1999 (later renamed "Samantha") The episode revealed, in the narrative that Wilson was hired by the New World Order (nWo) to lure David Flair into turning against his father, Ric Flair. The two appeared together on February 21st at SuperBrawl IX when Wilson slapped Ric in the face, and David zapped him with a Taser. [15] Ric won the WCW World Heavyweight Championship. He was captured by Hollywood Hogan at Uncensored in a Barbed Wire Steel Cage. David and Wilson then took a break from WCW television until May. They returned to the ring in May to watch matches. At the 1999 Bash at the Beach, Wilson acted as an assistant for Flair in his successful defense of the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship against Dean Malenko.
